At Mocha Silk Skincare, every product is handcrafted in small batches using carefully selected ingredients. Because our products contain natural oils, butters, botanicals, and other premium ingredients, proper use and storage are essential to maintaining product quality and performance.
Please read the following information before using our products.
Handcrafted Products
Every Mocha Silk Skincare product is individually handcrafted. Slight variations in color, scent, texture, shape, appearance, and weight are normal and are not considered defects. These variations reflect the unique character of handcrafted skincare.
Natural Ingredients
Many of our products contain naturally derived ingredients, including plant oils, botanical extracts, clays, herbs, butters, essential oils, and fragrance oils. Natural ingredients may vary slightly from batch to batch due to seasonal and agricultural differences.
Patch Testing
Before using any new skincare product, we strongly recommend performing a patch test. Apply a small amount to a discreet area of skin and wait 24 hours. If irritation, redness, itching, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately.
Allergies & Sensitivities
Customers are responsible for reviewing the ingredient list before purchasing or using any product. If you have allergies, sensitive skin, or known reactions to specific ingredients, consult your healthcare provider before use. Mocha Silk Skincare is not responsible for allergic reactions to ingredients that are clearly disclosed.
External Use Only
Unless specifically indicated otherwise, all Mocha Silk Skincare products are intended for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, broken skin, and open wounds. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Children
Our products should be used under adult supervision when intended for children. Keep all products out of the reach of young children and pets.
Pregnancy & Medical Conditions
If you are pregnant, nursing, under medical care, or receiving treatment for a skin condition, consult your physician before using products containing essential oils or active botanical ingredients.
Storage
Store products in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Keep lids tightly closed after each use. Avoid introducing water into jars or containers unless directed.
Warm Weather Care
During warmer months, products containing natural butters and oils may soften or melt during shipping or storage. This does not affect product quality or performance. Allow the product to return to room temperature before use, or refrigerate briefly to restore its original consistency.
Soap Care
Allow bars to dry completely between uses. Store on a well-draining soap dish. Avoid allowing the bar to sit in standing water. Keep unused bars in a cool, dry location until ready for use.
Shelf Life
For best results, use products within the following general timeframes after purchase:
- Soap Bars: 12–18 months
- Body Butters: 6–12 months
- Body Oils: 12 months
- Lotions: 6–12 months
- Facial Oils: 6–12 months
Storage conditions may affect product longevity.
Product Appearance
Natural products may experience slight changes in color, scent, or texture over time. These are normal characteristics of handcrafted products and generally do not affect product performance.
